5th January 2010 Thanks to everyone who visited Pickwick in 2009. It was a great first year of renting out the cottage and we’ve been thrilled with everyone’s lovely comments. It would be great to see you again and here’s to an excellent 2010!

12th August 2009 Dartmoor’s official folk festival was as exciting as ever as it descended upon South Zeal, with these fine morris dancers putting on an excellent show only a few feet from Pickwick’s door.

30th July 2009 It’s nearly time for the Dartmoor Folk Festival to arrive once more in South Zeal which is always a treat, with a chance to hear local talents from the village as well as favourites from farther afield. You can whet your appetite with the draft programme of what’s on, with the festival taking place on 7th, 8th and 9th August.

Website-wise, our new and improved slideshow of photos of the cottage is now available in the About the Cottage section. We’ve also been working on some getting some postcards printed up: here’s a sneak preview.

28th July 2009 We’ll be adding some new features to the site very soon. An improved photo slideshow is a priority, and we’ll also be adding a ‘What our guests say’ page once we’ve been open long enough to receive some more guests!

Our first ever visitors, all the way from the Netherlands, had an excellent time at the cottage, and August is looking busy, so it should be a nice page.

24th July 2009 Pickwick has found its way into the national press, despite having only been an official holiday cottage for less than a month. An exciting start!
